What is understood by tubeless ?
Under tubeless a combination is understood of rim and tire but without tube.
What advantages are offered by the Eclipse tubelesskit ?
With the Eclipse tubelesskit only 2 bar (30 psi) air pressure are required without damage of the tire by snakebite (rim cut through the tire ).
The riding properties with 2 bar air pressure result in the following advantages :
1) - Distinctly improved damping - the improvement is comparable to the difference of a bike with suspension and without it !
2) - Improved grip in every terrain - uphill one can stay longer in the saddle and downhill the braking is improved ! More grip in turns !
3) - Due to the above advantages smaller tires can be used .
4) - Through the use of special light weight tubeless tires the rolling resistance, in comparison with a tube system, is lower e.g one advances faster !

5) - Light weight : only 80g-110g per wheel (21g rimstrip, 9g valve, 50-80g Tire sealant)
Why have Eclipse developed a tubelesskit and a sealing liquid ?
On a tubeless rim, like for example Mavic UST, rim, spokes and nipples are specially produced parts. The manufacture and maintenance (for expl. broken spokes) is
expensive since no standardized components can be used. In addition these systems do not make use of a sealing liquid,correspondingly irksome is the repair of a damaged tire !
6) - With the Eclipse tubelesskit every conventional double wall rim can be converted to a tubeless system. This solution is favourable as to costs and suitable for service work on
the wheel ( without need to use expensive spare parts). The Eclipse tubelesskit is protected by several international patents.
7) - During the development phase of the Eclipse tubelesskit it became apparent that tubeless tires cannot be manufactured 100 % airtight !
In addition we wished to have a self-repairing tubeless system ! The secret recipe of the Eclipse tubeles sealing liquid (based on latex) closes permanently holes or
other damages to the tire up to 2mm diameter . The sealing liquid also is protected by several international patents.
What kind of tires can be used ?Foldable tires, UST , UST-Light ?
8) - Racers often use standard folding tires and our tubelesskit in order to save every gram of weight. This application demonstrates how well our sealing liquid functions !
Since standard folding tires from the producers are not airtight and since tolerances are too large, however we have to decline any liability for this combination !
9) - UST tubeless tires can be used. But these tires are heavier than standard folding tires.
10) - Our cooperation with several tire producers has resulted in a novel kind of tubeless tire, the so-called UST-light tire.
They combine the advantages of the UST Tubeless tire and of the folding tire ! From a weight of 550 gramms / piece there are already several types in the market.
